Welcome to the Celebrate Freedom Blog Hop day 2. This blog hop runs from July 1st through July 4th. We’ve had so much fun creating this hop, and we have a wonderful line up with some oh-so-talented creators. You will see some lovely projects having to do with celebrating freedom and the 4th of July theme and have a chance to win some blog candy along the way, including some grand prizes which I will be giving away. In order to be eligible for the grand prizes you must leave a comment on every blog in the hop and become followers to all the ladies in the hop also.
Be sure to come back all 4 days because all blogs in this hop will post a new project each day. I will be picking the winners from all the comments left throughout the 4 days.
Now for my project today I decided to make some firecrackers using the Stars and Stripes Kit from SVG Cuts.
I also decided to include a yummy recipe for you all to try.
Strawberry Blueberry Mini Cheesecake Trifle
ingredients:
Graham Cracker Crumble
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs (about 10 full sized crackers)
1/3 cup butter, melted
1 Tablespoon sugar
Fluffy Cheesecake
1- 8oz block cream cheese
1/2 cup powdered sugar
2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons milk (any fat content)
2 cups cool whip, or freshly whipped cream
Fresh berries (strawberries and blueberries shown)
directions:
Graham Cracker Crumble
Crush crackers in a large ziplock type bag. Pour crumbs, sugar and melted butter into a bowl and stir until fully combined. Pour into a 9″x13″ casserole dish and press into a even layer. Bake at 350*F for 10-12 minutes, until light brown. Allow to cool.
Fluffy Cheesecake
1. Beat cream cheese in the bowl of an electric mixer until smooth. Add powdered sugar, beat to combine. Add lemon juice and beat until fully incorporated. Add milk, and combine.
2. Fold cool whip or freshly whipped cream into cream cheese mixture. Spoon into dessert dishes, or for smaller dishes, fill a large piping bag and pipe into dessert dishes.
Dessert Assembly
To create the dessert as shown, layer a spoonful of graham cracker crumble, then a layer of cheesecake, fresh chopped strawberries, more cheesecake, fresh blueberries, and a final layer of cheesecake.
Now on to my blog candy for today . I am giving one lucky winner the What's Up Punch from Stampin' Up. All you have to do is leave a comment below. I will be picking the winners from all the comments left throughout the 4 days.
