Welcome to the
"Hippity Hoppity Easters on it's way Blog Hop."
I am so excited to have you hopping with us!!!
Each blogger participating in this hop is featuring
a project having to do with Easter. This super-fun
hop will be showcasing cards, layouts and
projects that feature anything and everything
to do with Easter. You'll find an array of ideas
throughout this hop. From decorations to gift
ideas and more we hope you'll enjoy each and
every project along the way!! Be sure to leave
a comment at each hop stop to show all the
participants a little love.

This is a two-day blog hop.
So, please be sure to check out day 1 also!

Now on to my project for today.
I decided to show you some wonderful
and cute recipes I have found.

Easter Bunny Cake Pops

Don't they look YUMMY!

  • Shape the balls into a bunny head shape.
  • Dip in candy coating color of your choice and let dry.
  • Use the rounded side of a cookie cutter and cut of the end of the candy corn. Dip the end in a little bit of the melted candy coating and adhere it to the top of the bunny head. Hold in place until it sets. If your candy coating isn’t too hot, this should just take a few seconds.
  • Let the bunny heads with ears sit in the styrofoam block until all the ears are dry.
  • When dry, use a little bit of melted candy coating to glue the facial features on. Use a toothpick and dab a little of the coating in position for the eyes and nose and adhere the sprinkles.
  • When the eyes and noses are dry, use your pens to draw on the mouth. Then draw on the eye color and pupils.
Carrot Cake Pops

You will need: carrot cake mix, cream cheese frosting, about three cups of orange candy melts, half a cup of green candy melts, and lollipop sticks.  All this stuff is about $10 and yields 20 carrot cake pops.

You will need: carrot cake mix, cream cheese frosting, about three cups of orange candy melts, half a cup of green candy melts, and lollipop sticks.  All this stuff is about $10 and yields 20 carrot cake pops.

1. Bake your cake according to package instructions.  Let cool.  Crumble baked cake into a bowl and mix with 2/3 of the frosting.

2. With clean hands, take about 1/6 cup of cake and form into a carrot shape.  Chill in the refrigerator for an hour.

3. Melt green candy melts.  Dip about 1-1/2″ of the lollipop stick.  Insert 1″ into the chilled carrot cakes.  The candy melt will automatically pool around the lollipop stick.

4. Melt orange candy melts in a tall, narrow container. Dip the carrot cakes.  Tap off excess by holding the stick with one hand and flicking the tip of the stick with fingers of the other hand.  Stick into a Styrofoam block and let dry.

Enjoy making these carrot cake pops for Easter!
